Terrayne Brown

BA Graphic Design
Central Saint Martins

Terrayne Brown is a Graphic Design student moving into his Third year of BA at Central Saint Martins. He takes a multi-disciplinary approach to design focusing more on the effectiveness of communication rather than the overall aesthetic. He works mostly in print, his work explores themes of User Interaction and is fairly user centric. Experience is key to his working style and so his work is starting to pull away from simple printed material moving into different mediums like app design and interactive design. In the past Terrayne has used sculpture and spatial design alongside his design work to assist the message or provide content for zines and books. Race and identity are big factors in any non-white designers outlook is something Terrayne is trying to address and explore more going forward, trying to underpin his own identity and experience through his work to build a greater awareness of what it is like to be a young black man.
